It has been a hot dry july in BC. lots of forest fires. I am spending this month writing business plans and grant proposals. Hoping to get a business up and running soon. I need money in a big way.

Made it
Had a super fast run. Wing on wing up the Howe sound on Fathers Day. I sighted a large gray whale and lots of eagles. I am now penny pinching for a while after a month and half sailing the gulf islands. The financial crunch after two back to back vacations is pretty sobering. I will remember my trips for years to come. A good counter balance to an otherwise terrible year. Peace everyone. At least I have power now to watch the world cup.

Salt Spring
Having a great time on Salt Spring. Money is tight so I must head home soon to make use of the moorage I have already paid for.
I also spent time in chemainus and telegraph harbor at thetis Island. I have a few pics to put up. I will write more when I return to my "home" cruising area.

May 24th at Silva Bay.
Wow, Lots of boats showed up here at the northern gulf island Gabriola for the first long weekend of the season.
Royal Van once again pushing the sound bearier with their stereo. A 30ft Wood Ketch named "Erin" from sydney popped her anchor at midnight high tide and drifted through the anchorage with a blue power boat rafted to her. bouncing off boats and finally drifting out into the entrance channel near shipwreck rock before the people on board woke up and started the engine before she grounded. some people have all the luck eh.
Today is monday and the anchorage, marina, and yacht club outstations are clearing up. It's going to be a little windy today and it has finally stopped raining.
I will pop through the pass and go exploring sometime mid week to ensure space at anchorages.
